Was last there in Nov. 2017 and talked to a ranger we met on the trail. At that time, it has decided that to further limit the number of individuals accessing the fragile site, the service road would be blocked, adding an additional approx. 3-4 miles round trip to the hike. The trail from Oak Springs to the falls is only 1 mile... however you are now talking 5-6 round trip from the Ross Maxwell Scenic Drive.
