We recommend finishing the day at Glacier Point as it provides an overview of what you have seen up close during the day. The view is spectacular and the gift shop was pretty good as well. Full review by michaeleV7978JY

Getting up to Glacier Point is a bit of a driving adventure in itself, but if a visitor can handle the 12 miles or so of tight and winding roads, and find an open parking slot, the reward is a superb… Full review by kay-cee-1138

I drove to this point early morning, just as daylight was breaking, and it was thoroughly worthwhile. Stunning outlooks towards Half Dome and down into Yosemite Valley. I imagine this area becomes re… Full review by aberdeenangler

Hi Next time you have a question, do not use the seldom seen Q&A feature. Ask on the local destination forum where questions are answered within hours. And no, Glacier Point Road is still closed in early May. And Hwy 41 ends at the South Entrance, becoming Wawona Road inside the National Park.

This is a great question for the Yosemite forum. Folks have been planning their very very long day hikes to Glacier Point, and we are 'chatting' about their plans. If you go up the Mist Trail to the Panorama Trail and then down the Four Mile Trail, that's about 15 miles with roughly 4,000' of elevation gain (there is some up and down during the hike from 4,000' Yosemite Valley to 7,200' Glacier Point.) No water available at Glacier Point.

I'm thinking of going in early September 2020. Is it (a) possible to drive up there without snow/ice and (b) get an RV up there?

We visited in September and it was hot and sunny. Sun hats, T shirts and shorts were appropriate. It is more of a fire risk season than snow and ice! A wedding party were there for their photos and bridesmaids wore off the shoulder dresses and some were barefoot. The shop sells fantastic ice creams - Think large Cornetto! Yes you can get an RV there. Coach trips go there. The road up is a normal two way road, with the odd narrow bend. There is a large car park, which is one way, so you shouldn't have to worry about 3 point turns. It does get busy so you may have to queue to park.

Hello, I’m after a bit of help. We are hoping to complete glacier point whilst on our travels. We are in a EV motorhome. What are the best options for this? Thanks in advance
A:
I would check with the park, certain length vehicles are prohibited from driving all the way up to glacier point due to lack of turn around space
Q:
Is Glacier Point reachable at end of March? By any way other than difficult hikes?
A:
I do not know about the weather there then. There’s only one long and windy road to the point. It all depends on if it’s snowed. There’s areas with serious drop offs and no guard rails.
