Bridgestone Corporation said it will be offering worker buyouts at its agricultural tire plant in Des Moines, Iowa, in response to waning tractor sales and a decline in the farm economy.

If Deere can’t sell their tractors, then Bridgestone can’t sell Deere the tires for those tractors. The severance deals are indicative of an agricultural slowdown occurring over the whole state.
