The Kid Icarus games barely qualify as a series, with only three games. While the first Kid Icarus game was released on the NES, it would receive one sequel before going dormant until the 3DS era.

If there was ever a more perfect title for an NES game, we don't know what it was ... this adventure on the upper echelon alongside Kid Icarus, Casino Kid and Kid Klown in Night Mayor World.

The most obvious game that comes to mind when putting this list together is 2012’s Kid Icarus: Uprising, an at the time modern reinvention of the long dormant series helmed by Super Smash Bros.
