A male voice down the phone is heard instructing her ‘not to comment’ on the strike on Ukraine in the early hours of this morning. Parts of their conversation are picked by the two microphones positioned in front of her.

A video from the press conference has now gone viral where Zakharova was allegedly instructed by someone on the phone to not comment at all.

Russia's Foreign Ministry spokeswoman was phoned during a live briefing and told not to comment on reports that Russia had fired a ballistic missile at Ukraine, according to a video of the briefing that picked up the telephone conversation.

A Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson appeared to be interrupted by a phone call during a press conference, during which an unidentified person told her not to comment on Ukraine’s claim that Russia fired an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) into the country for the first time.

A video, that went viral on microblogging site X, showed Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Maria Zakharova, receiving a call from and getting instructions from her higher authorities about not speaking about the launch of an intercontinental ballistic missile in Ukraine.
