Sony Pictures and Legendary Entertainment won’t be renewing their global distribution pact when it expires at the end of this year, Deadline has confirmed. We understand it was a mutual decision.

The distribution deal between Sony Pictures Motion Picture Group and Legendary Entertainment will end in December, as both companies mutually agreed to conclude the partnership, The Wrap has exclusively learned.

The pact will expire at the end of the year, although Sony will still reportedly handle the release of the summer 2025 comedy 'Animal Friends.'
