Feb 15, 2015 · Best Buy, Apple, Microcenter, Target, they will all take Apple products back up to 14 days after purchase, regardless if they are opened or not. I think at Target it's even 30 days. I've returned opened iPads and MBP's to Apple and Best Buy and never had a problem.

But I have yet to find a knowledgable Apple Specialist at any of the above resellers that comes anywhere near Apple Store associates. If you buy in an Apple Store, they will gladly help with setup if you need it, and advice on getting started.
