The Navy Club is a membership organization with thousands of members nationwide. Membership is open to United States Navy, United States Coast Guard, and sea-serving veterans, active duty, and reservists.

The Navy Club of Chicago was founded in 1938 but over the years had been decommissioned. In 2022, a group of post-9/11 Navy Veterans led by Leslie Rodriguez recommissioned Ship #69.
