Aug 7, 2018 · Definitely. Although the water table will trap a lot of the typical particulates that come from plasma cutting, it’s worth using a respirator. I use one that fits under my faceshield. It’s especially important if you do galvanized metals. I wear shaded glasses when doing quick work and the face shield & respirator when monitoring a long job.

I did have to do some rigging for the torch on off wire due to it not coming with the machine where I took the cable from an old charger with a similar 2-prong connector on one end. it needed some modification to fit in the port but it seemed to go in alright.

Sep 18, 2020 · I use F5 bend of nitrogrn and hydrogen for cutting stainless steel. I have 3 large bottles of it plumbed into plasma cutter via hydrogen regulators. F5 gas cuts very similar to nitrogen or air. It leaves the edges of the stainless smooth and clean. It requires less amps and faster speed due to the hydrogen molecules. So I’m told. It works well.

Any font can be used for plasma cutting, it all depends on how the font is placed and adding small bridging or tangents for any aspects of a letter than would otherwise “fall off” when cut out. Letters can be positive (solid) or negative (cut hollow).

Nov 21, 2022 · Air pressure to the back of the plasma cutter should be 100 to 120psi with a 3/8" hose. Air pressure set on the plasma cutter for cutting should be 70 to 75 psi. You have a S45 style torch a picture of the consumables and size your using would help.

NOTE: Orifice hole size 1mm = .03937" 20 amp tip - 0.6mm/.025" - 15 to 20 amps - 50 to 55 psi. 30 amp tip - 0.8mm/.030" - 21 to 30 amps - 55 to 60 psi. 40 amp tip - 0.9mm/.035" - 31 to 40 amps - 65 to 70 psi

Feb 6, 2024 · Just because its a non-touch start does not mean its a non-high frequency plasma cutter. There are a lot of non-touch plasma cutters that are high frequency and will not work with the Langmuir table. Now if this is the non-high frequency plasma cutter with the so called ipt40 torch then most of your problem is the consumables.
